Dog Wisdom

Almost
.
paw If you can start the day without caffeine,
paw If you can get going without pep pills,
paw If you can always be cheerful, ignoring aches & pains,
paw If you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles,
paw If you can eat the same food every day and be grateful for it,
paw If you can understand when your loved ones are too busy to give you any time,
paw If you can overlook it when those you love take it out on you when, through no fault of yours, something goes wrong,
paw If you can take criticism and blame without resentment,
paw If you can ignore a friend's limited education and never correct him,
paw If you can resist treating a rich friend better than a poor friend,
paw If you can face the world without lies and deceit,
paw If you can conquer tension without medical help,
paw If you can relax without liquor,
paw If you can sleep without the aid of drugs,
paw If you can honestly say that deep in your heart you have no prejudice against creed, color, religion, or politics,
paw Then, my friend, You are ALMOST as good as your dog.

paw If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it
paw When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently
paw Thrive on attention and let people touch you
paw Avoid biting when a simple growl will do
paw On hot days, drink lots of water and lay under a shady tree
paw When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body
